It's that wonderful time of year again! Our third annual Woven Coffee House and Table Talk at Newark (Ohio) Church of the Nazarene is just around the corner.  Monday, October 10th, we embark on a new season of learning and loving and giving.

I am humbled by the message the Lord has placed on my heart for His daughters. The theme for our sessions this year is from our Woven purpose statement in Colossians 2:2-3: A Tapestry of Love. I love these words and the metaphor it brings to mind:  our women becoming a beautiful tapestry by the working of God's holy hand, His golden needle weaving our hearts with colorful threads of His love

Ladies, He doesn't call us to be alike. He delights in our differences. The common thread that knits us together is His love at work in our hearts and lives. My prayer is the same as the apostle Paul's prayer in Ephesians 3:17-19:
"may you have the power to wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."

Mark your calendar! Clear your schedule! Grap your girlfriends! Join us in the sanctuary at the Williams St. location on Monday evening, Oct.10, at 6:30pm. Our Woven Leaders promise to pamper you with good eats, treats, conversation, and the unfathomable love of Christ.

If you are new to Woven, this is what you can expect:  I will be leading you through Session One of A Tapestry of Love.  We are well aware that women love to talk and to eat, so we have taken care of those little details! There will be questions for you to discuss at your tables, trays piled high with every food group, and a circle of women that will become your new best friends! At the end of the evening, you will have an opportunity to sign up to be in a Woven group. Woven groups meet just 6 evenings per year, once monthly through March. This year we are also introducing two new ministries of Woven. Gifted Hands is an outreach to women in our community. The Woven Marketplace in November will showcase the talents and endeavors of NewarkNaz women.

Come join the love! It's going to be an incredible year!
