ANNOUNCING! Outstretched Arms: Woven Women's Weekend

I am so excited about the debut of "Outstretched Arms": A Woven Women's Weekend, sponsored by my home church, Newark Church of the Nazarene. The event is Friday-Saturday, May 13th-14th at the beautiful Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark, Ohio.

My dear friend Dustee Hullinger is coming all the way from New York City to share her heart for Gifted Hands, an art therapy ministry. Dustee and I have partnered for the kingdom in South Africa and several states. Woven and Gifted Hands beautifully complement each other (and so do Dustee & I!).

Dustee and I will serve as Woven Women of the Word, but God will be the One who imparts His word and His hospitality to our women's hearts as we seek to understand our Kingdom Position, to fuel our Kingdom Passion, and become focused on our Kingdom Purpose.

Our own Melissa Anderson, is putting together an incredible team: our Woven Women of Worship! I can't wait for this, ladies! We will certainly enter the throne room of our Heavenly Home!

Our vision for the weekend is in Psalm 37:5-6:
"Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him and He will help you.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn;
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun."
  • Do you need to feel needed? To be understood?
  • Do you long to make a lasting difference in the lives of others? To know that your life accounts for something larger than the day-to-day grind?
  • Or maybe you just need to be loved...maybe you need someone to make a difference in YOUR life!
God has Kingdom-size dreams for His daughters: that we would know how much He loves us, that we would truly love one another, that we would join hands in reaching out to those who feel unloved.
We are Daughters of the Great King! God is calling us together for a common purpose: a Kingdom Purpose fueled by Holy Spirit Passion, larger than any of us can accomplish alone. And it’s as simple as allowing Him to use us right where we are!

Let’s come together with Outstretched Arms and open hearts to embrace the God who embraces us.
This Woven Weekend is open to ALL women!

If you attend Newark Church of the Nazarene, look for the Woven Weekend table display in the foyer beginning Sunday, April 3rd.

Free to Be Me: Wisconsin!

Bettina Bowman, new sister Ronda, & Me!
Speechless. I am a speaker left speechless. Humbled. Amazed. Wow-ed to tears by God!

I seriously do not know how to relate what happened this past weekend. The dynamics were astounding.  We were prayed-up and prepared. God moved and breathed and transformed lives. We will never ever be the same.

Saturday night the stream of testimonies seemed unending. I cannot begin to count how many responded after the service. There was a steady stream of women coming forward to share their stories. It was after midnight when we finally turned off the lights and went to our rooms.

I am humored by their opening statements. It seemed like every woman who stood up to share, said, "I wasn't planning on coming up here. I don't like to talk in front of people. I don't like microphones. But..." The Holy Spirit was radically tugging on hearts. He was intent on weaving us together into His Sisterhood of Love. He was removing the veil of the false self and freeing up these women to become real! Wow! I absolutely LOVE this!

I am also touched by the bravery of these women. My heart is moved by the depth of their pain; and how God is working to redeem their pasts.  An 80-yr-old who was molested at the age of 4, finally gave God her guilt and shame! A 40-yr-old said she had tried counselors, therapy, everything available to rid herself of baggage she has carried her entire life. She came to me Sunday and said, "Nothing else has worked! But this did! I am not taking my baggage home with me. I am leaving it here!" A 25-yr-old said she wasn't planning to come. She thought, "Free to be Me: what does that even mean?" But she did come. She discovered that freedom only comes through Christ and she testified that every message led her to more freedom in Him!

Sunday morning, I gave a call for sanctification, an invitation to be filled with the Holy Spirit.  Hands shot up immediately: 8-10-12. I could see it on their faces! They were lit up like Glow-worms for Jesus! And, we celebrated new birth: Four Women Accepted Christ as their Savior! They will be seated with us at the Wedding Supper of the Lamb, dressed in their robes of righteousness: the most beautiful dress they have ever worn in their lives!

We came hungry, thirsty. We left satisfied and longing for more!
"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2Cor 3:18

~Wisconsin Ladies, I love you! Thank you for welcoming me/my ministry with open arms. Thanks mostly for welcoming God with open hearts; for allowing Him to remove the veil, that His glory may be revealed in and through YOU!

~If you would like to share something about the weekend, or what God has done since our time together, please feel free to leave a comment below. Would love to hear from you!
Oh how I love you and love to serve you, Lord!

A Flavor of **SPRING FEVER!**

"Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy...

Tami Rossignal & Woven Leader Karen LeMasters
at SPRING FEVER! Woven Season Finale.
The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." ~Psalm 126:2-3 NIV

When I read this Psalm, I thought for sure the writer must be talking about our Woven Season Finale Monday night!  Such is the case when God's gaggle of gals get together! We laugh, we share, we may even shed a few tears.  In this case, you may be tempted to give the glory to a mouthful of cupcakes! But it certainly wasn't the cupcakes that brought forth such joy (though they did make a statement of their own)!

The topic was the Resurrection, and, oh, what a topic! Before the night was over, we were repeating together the words of Paul in Ephesians 3:10: "I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection!" And, I know for a fact that many of us not only wanted to know this power, but we experienced His power right then and there.  Surrender: release of burdens. Fellowship: oneness in the Holy Spirit. Spiritual Hospitality: the love of God and loving each other. All are benefits of Christ's resurrection power! All are elements that were operating in our midst! And this does not even begin to address the incredible resurrection power we have separately and collectively experienced in our Christian walks that brought us together in this place and time: healing, deliverance, salvation, redemption, reconciliation, adoption, sanctification. We use these big words because this is a HUGE deal: the greatest bargain a woman will ever find! Yep, we're "trading our sorrow, trading our shame; laying it down for the joy of the Lord"!

Do you feel like you're missing the point here? Wondering what this Resurrection Power looks like? Well, that's what I love about Spring! Take a look around. Winter has left us in a state of death and dormancy. It's really quite ugly (speaking for Ohio). There is clearly something missing in this picture. We long for color and life. We can't wait for the first crocus to pop out of the ground, for the grass to turn green, for the trees to burst forth buds and leaves. We are witnesses of Resurrection Power! Everything in earth comes to life in celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!

It seems amazing to think that when we simply confess our sins, believe in Jesus Christ, and ask Him to reside in our heart and life, God deposits this same power within the very core of our being. We are resurrected into eternal beings with access to the very power of God Himself. Woohoo! No sugar buzz can compare with that!

I want YOU as my eternal, forever Sister, woven into this tapestry of love!  That's why I am  praying this prayer for you from Ephesians 1:19-22:
"I pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church."
That's me in the bright yellow jacket speaking to nearly 100 power-filled Woven Women!
ARE YOU EXPERIENCING GOD'S RESURRECTION POWER? What has God done in your life recently? Leave a comment and declare God's power in your heart and life! Would love to hear from you!
